May Stats

26,000 words fiction written, roughly 8k of nonfiction.
Sadly, the travel website I’ve been working for, HelloSeattle.com, has laid off its writers, so I’m looking for more freelancing work.
17 queries sent out.
6 fiction submissions.
6 job applications.
2 stories rewritten.

I wrapped up teaching Writing Fantasy & Science Fiction for Bellevue College and won’t be teaching again till the end of July, when I’ll be doing the Blogging 101 class and a flash fiction workshop for BC and a workshop for teens on generating creativity through timed writings at the Issaquah Library in August. I’ve got a couple of editing projects going this summer as well, and will be volunteering for Clarion West, including its Writeathon, if you’re interested in sponsoring me!

The big fat fantasy trilogy wordcount is currently at 148,731 (target is 360k, 3 books of 120k each).
I’m working on a Seattle-centric project that will get unveiled in the next few weeks and which is super cool.

I’ll at at the Locus awards at the end of June as well as reading for a benefit reading at Inner Chapters that month.
