Sylvia Spruck Wrigley is a freelance journalist and published author who writes science fiction, fantasy and aviation non-fiction. She has had short stories published in a long list of popular magazines and websites. Her science fiction and fantasy has been translated into over a dozen languages. In 2014, her short story Alive, Alive Oh was nominated for a Nebula. Her novella, Domnall and the Borrowed Child, was published in 2015 by Tor.com. She has been writing full-time since 2016, including bespoke near-future science fiction for Thales and NATO for internal projects.
Sylvia is also a private pilot and aviation writer. Her in-depth knowledge of plane crashes has brought a number of interesting opportunities, most recently discussion crash details on the Discovery Channel’s AirCrash Confidential. She’s published six non-fiction books on a range of aviation subjects. The latest, Without a Trace, tells the true stories of aircraft and passengers who disappeared into thin air.
